Would you buy your DC a leappad if you already have a Leapster explorer that doesn't get that much play time? Are there things the Leappad can do that the Explorer can't?

Thanks for posting. I've been meaning to ask the same question. The Leappad can take pictures and I believe video and can be used for the e-books. But DS has the camera attachment to the Explorer so I'm not sure if there's an advantage to the Leappad 1. The newer Leappad 2 has more memory so I can see an advantage to that.

I bought DS the Leappad 1 on BF for $55 but am seriously considering returning it. I'm just not sure I see much advantage to the Leappad 1 over the Explorer with camera attachment. I'm thinking I'd be better off waiting until next year when the Leappad 2 is discounted and buying that version.
