DS1 (K) started riding the school bus home about a month into the school year. He only rides in the afternoon, and he is the only kid on the bus! He rides alone for the 6 minutes it takes to get to our house.
Bus driver is very nice & professional. He gave out Christmas goody bags (after asking my permission) and even said "happy Hannukkah," which was thoughtful.
I was thinking cash, a nicely packaged Christmas-y treat like Peppermint Bark or the chocolate covered peppermint Joe-joes, and a card from DS.
What is the right amount of money? I was thinking $25, but honestly, I have no idea. I would give a gift card (WaWa or Target), but why not just give the guy money to use how he likes? If I need to buy something tomorrow, I can hit Trader Joes, Target, or Costco.
Thanks for any advice! DS was out of school most of the week and I didn't think I'd be able to send him tomorrow, and I totally forgot about getting this gift ready!
