Jazzing up a scooter

We bought DD a Maxi Kick scooter and chose black so DS2 can eventually use it too. DD has specifically asked for a purple scooter so I'm hoping to add some accessories to jazz it up. I don't know how the Maxi Kick looks IRL. Anyone know if you can add streamers, a basket, etc., to it? Ideas on adding color to it?

DD has a MiniKick in aqua (I chose it before she started expressing color preferences) that we've added pink & purple streamers to the handlebars.

I don't know if I would add a basket to a scooter at all, but streamers shouldn't be a problem, nor would stickers.
