Planning on making it for xmas eve and xmas day but looking for the best recipe. I'm seeing a lot of different variations online, not sure which is best!

Also, to save time, can I prep and slice potatoes a few days in advance and keep them in cold water in the fridge?

Thx!

Sorry this is late, but we made this with prime rib and it was delicious!

I make almost the exact same recipe but I use more garlic and I don't measure anything just salt and pepper every layer and pour the heavy cream until everything I covered. I also use nutmeg which makes it really good! I made them tonight and everyone loved it.

We love Pascal Potatoes! We use the Epicurious recipe posted by PP, but use way more garlic also. Enough garlic to scatter throughout the bottom of the glass dish. It is our go to potluck dish. We brought it for Xmas dinner tonight.
