My mum and sisters are always quick to jump in to correct DS. I hate it as I'm right there and I have my own ways of dealing with DS. We just spent a week with my sister, and any time DS said "huh?" or "what?" when he didn't hear someone, my sister would correct him to say "pardon?" I was about to tell my sister to back-off when it occurred to me that I could use her. I've been working on him to say "Pardon?" or "Sorry I didn't hear you." So, I shelved the annoyance over her correcting him and told her she could help me out by correcting DS on this.
Fast forward to this week, DS, w/o prompting said "Pardon?" to another mom after school. Success :D
