Does anyone live here or nearby? DH has a job offer and we're trying to figure out what we want. One of my biggest concerns is DS going to a larger school with his PA. We live in a small town and they are very careful about keeping him safe. Is it expensive to live there? We've done a few COL calculations and DH thinks the offer is low so we may not even need to go any farther if they won't increase but wanted to get a feel for the area just in case.

My uncle and aunt have lived there since the 80s, and I lived with them for 2 years when I was in college. I also have friends living in other surrounding suburbs I can ask. Morton Grove is not a particularly large suburb and it is convenient in terms of location (proximity to airport, city).

What is PA? Do you mean food allergies?

If you haven't already, you might want to check out one of the Chicago subforums at Citydata.com. When we moved here, I found a ton of info from folks living in the area before and after we moved.

I grew up north of there. Here is a site you can look for info on the different schools in Illinois. There are some great schools of all different sizes. The high schools are large, but some of the school districts have smaller neighborhood schools.
