If you bought the NM bike at Target

have you assembled it yet? If so, was it hard? I'm trying to figure out how much work it will be to assemble and calibrate the brakes and gears.

Mine was assembled but I took it to our local bike shop for a "check up!" It was $45 which is the assembly cost. They looked it all over, confirmed it was a great deal and decent quality, tightened up the brakes etc.

If mine was new in box vs assembled, I would have taken it to the bike shop either way!

$45 seems like a great deal. I'm going to call a local bike shop and see what they charge.

Our local bike shop charges $70 for assembly. I'm debating whether to pay that or try to assemble it. The reviews don't mention any difficulty with assembly, but many of them may have bought it pre-assembled.
