I have a bad neck and shoulder from a long ago auto accident that I would gladly give back every penny from the lawsuit I won just to not have daily pain. When I wake up in the morning, it's not a question of if I'm in pain, it's how much pain. Anyway, since then I've searched and searched for the perfect pillow. I am strictly a side sleeper. I've tried EVERY pillow I could find and still can't find one that doesn't "work" any longer after about two months. I've tried ridiculously expensive Tempurpedic ones (both the weird neck roll one and the regular pillow filled with Temperpedic material) and cheap ones (you get what you pay for). I can't do goose down ... I'm slightly allergic and DH is highly allergic to them. Right now I'm using some Temperpedic side sleeper pillow with a cut out for my shoulder (very helpful, seriously). I paid about $80 for it about two months ago and it's already shot. I'm sick of paying huge sums of money for multiple pillows a year that don't work.

Does anyone have some kind of miracle pillow that would work in my situation that I won't have to replace multiple times a year? Please help! I just want to be comfortable while TRYING to sleep (I have insomnia that I take meds for, but they don't always work) and not wake up in even more pain every day from a ridiculous pillow.

I had similar issues and finally asked my chiro who recommended this one. I bought it from his office and I love it. It is memory foam.

I got the I Love My Pillow pillow. Seriously <3 that dang pillow! But I believe there's another pillow that gets good reviews called My Pillow (available through amazon and other retailers). I've still considered getting it just to try it out but I haven't been motivated to do it because my I Love My Pillow has been so great.

I'm a strictly side sleeper, too and my Dh just got me one of these for Christmas:

He actually bought 4. (No idea what he was thinking there....obviously you can only use one at a time....) I would be happy to send one to you if you wanted to try it. No idea if it will work for you or not, though!

Wow, does anyone have My Pillow? I have been looking at all the websites posted because I have the same problems as the OP, and also have a very short neck, which I think causes a lot of my problems. I love it that the My Pillow comes in sizes...and I knew it wouldnt be cheap, but was not expecting it to be close to $90! Any experiences?

Your Tempurpedic side sleeper wore out after a couple months? I'd take it back, seriously, that's not right. Or contact them.

I have the exact same pillow and LOVE it. You're right, some how that notch really helps. I've had mine for over 2 years and its perfect. Maybe a little discolored from postnatal sweat, but works fine. (The bed I bought it with, not a Tempurpedic, is completely worn out).

I can't see what the pillow looks like but I bought one from my chiro office about 8 years ago and it's still going strong. I couldn't do without it. It was about $75 at the time. It's not a traditional pillow design; can't describe it but I'll look for a picture.

Savvy Rest shredded latex pillow (queen size) has changed my sleeping life. I had to remove some of the stuffing, though.

Agree with the above poster. A shredded latex foam pillow from Savvy Rest. They are stuffed pretty full and you can take out some of the shredded latex. I bought 2 queens and took out enough shredding to make a 3rd standard pillow. I do not move at night with this pillow and my mattress from

I have this 2 n 1 pillow from Sleep Innovations (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0029LHHRW) (I bought it at Costco), and I have had it for about 4 yrs. DH used one for a while, but he didn't like it much so about a year later I bought him the Sleep Innovations Contour pillow (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0029LHHRC) (again at Costco) and he has been happy with it. I might have him look at the latex pillows or a Tempurpedic one next time. I would be I interested I trying a non contoured Tempurpedic or the Savvy Rest as well.

I just purchased a 2 in 1 pillow from Boscov's. One side is foam . Unsure the brand . I really like it.I paid 39.99 it was 50 percent off. I feel your pain. I buy about 3 pillows a year. I was in a car accident. I have been rear ended twice and now have stenosis of the neck. I usually like pillows for a while and if they give out i am on to another. I hope this lasts longer. It has been great so far! Good luck:)

I'm sorry about your neck pain

I am a side sleeper and this has really helped my neck:

I have the gusseted side sleeper. My chiro told me not to use the contoured pillow. He said it would exacerbate my neck pain.
