DD is 6. She is currently reading the Little House on the Prairie series and enjoying it.
I am looking for suggestions on what series to try next. She has already read and enjoyed most of the Beverly Cleary books, the Judy Moody series, Charlotte's Web. She did not enjoy the Magic Treehouse books and is not interested in How to train your dragon.

We are reading the American Girl books as part of a HSing co-op; DD is newly 6 and enjoying them. Not sure if she has any interest in those, but there are a LOT of books.

I second American girl - lots of book sets of 5 to pick from. The library should have them too. I read these to my 4 year old and my older DD read them from Kindergarten and still does in 4th grade.

My DD is a good reader but for pleasure reading tends to pick what I call fun books that can be read quickly. Liked Judy Moody, not Magic Treehouse.

Katie Kazoo is a cute series and they get a little harder as it progress and Katie gets older.
Appleton Elementary has just a few books.
Sideways school - they read in school and she got another book or 2 at home.
A to Z mysteries - she never liked these when younger but got into these later and reads them in about 15"- but I think good for younger kids.
Clementine - a couple books
She loved Junie B Jones which so many moms dislike - she read over 25 Junie books times at least 2x each the summer between K and 1st, I'm not going to tell her no :)
Loved Puppy place and other pet series -so boring and predictable but she devours them!

My daughter LOVED the Little House series as well. We went on to read the other "Little House" series. While there is nothing like the original, the off-shoot series are still very good. There is the Rose Series (although beware the "Land of the Big Red Apple book" has a Santa spoiler), the Caroline series, Charlotte series and Martha series. Some of the series (besides Rose) are out of print so harder to find but we were able to get all the Caroline books at the library. It is fun to continue the story and learn more about Laura's family.

And I totally second Anne of Green Gables...

Don't forget about Judy Blume books! I'm talking about the Tales of Fourth grade nothing series, not the more teenage themed stuff.
