I have some things to list on craigslist

2 kids bikes and a toy kitchen.

I'll take pics, list competitively...but how to deal with actual transaction (I know cash only), what do you do if someone wants to negotiate and you don't?

Thanks.

If you don't want to negotiate, just put in your ad something like "price firm".

Put your title in CAPS, it stands out.

Also in CAPS in the ad say "please put "toy Kitchen" in the subject line.

I'd do a separate ad each item much easier when sorting out replies.

I always specify the general area of town I'm in, I know you're in the LA area, something like Irvine/Tustin AFB area is helpful for someone knowing where the item is located.

I always say cash only, buyer pick up. And I tell them to put the name of the item in the reply.

Thanks all.
I listed the 2 bikes this morning. We'll see what happens.

I should meet them in public location, shouldn't I?

Definitely meet in a public location and create an email account just for craigslist if you can.

I like meeting folks in a public location, but my small town is really safe and I've done either. I think it depends on your comfort level. There are a lot of folks who come in from out of town and I definitely meet them in a public place.

I've met at home for bigger items, I've never been concerned but this was based on the emails etc.

Arrange to meet them at home when your DH will be there if worried.
