I never buy Lucky. We only have an outlet nearby, no actual Lucky stores where I currently live. I hate buying and returning so I just never ended up trying them.

I just clicked on a pr and they say Made in China. There was that recent discussion about whether someone's Lucky's were the regular made for the store ones vs. the Costco or outlet type of ones. The regular ones are made outside of China, I assume, based on that discussion?

Just wondering as the ones I clicked on say MIC. Obviously some people love the Costco and outlet ones....but I guess it is good to know what you are buying (ie what the "real" retail price is).

eta: I just poked around on the Lucky site and the Sweet N Lows I clicked on there say "Imported" so maybe the MIC thing doesn't tell you much? There are some good sales on teh actual Lucky website; I wish I knew my size. I wear a 26 in paige hidden hills and 26 in sevens, 2 in gap. I always read conflicting things about sizing up or down with Lucky which is why I never order.

I posted a question recently about Lucky jeans from TJMaxx that were made in China. The Costco ones are made there too. My other pairs are all made in Mexico. I'm pretty sure they don't make any in the US anymore.

ETA I have a few different styles, the fit definitely varies quite a bit, and some cuts I can't wear at all no matter what the size. I just went to an outlet and tried on a bunch so I know what cuts and sizes fit for future online purchases. Now I have a few pairs I'm very happy with.

Lucky Brand jeans used to be made in the USA in the late 90s/early 2000s, then in the early 2000s they started adding Mexico. Now I have had pairs since 2010 that were made in China, and made in Vietnam that were bought at Loehmann's, and the Outlet. I have noticed the same made in locations at Macy's, Nordstrom, and online. On their webpage they say that country of origin is imported.

Lucky Brand has never fit me consistently. Except for the peanut, matchstick, and stove pipe jeans I try everything else on. Every pair and wash fits differently IMHO.

eta:I bought three pairs of the Lucky jeans the last time they had the gold box deal and I bought them in the same sizes I had bought recently from the outlet and all three went back. For me it is just easier to buy in person.

Thanks for posting, OP. I have been wanting to get another pair of Lucky Sweet and Lows. I had almost $5 in amazon points, so I applied them to the order and got these
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005902NYW/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

for $44 and change. I like that there is free shipping and returns, but I hope that the size will work since that is what I have already in this cut.

Happy shopping!

I think I'm going to hop on this deal too.

I have 2 pairs of Sweet n Low's that were made in America and are 100% cotton. I love them and wear them often, they do stretch out, but they fit me better then most other jeans. They do run big, I ended up needing to size down (hence the reason I have two pairs). The only other jeans that I've found that fit me okay are the GAP 1969 original boyfriend flare jeans, I don't think they make them any more :( (now they are all "sexy boyfriend").

I am interested in seeing what these ones will be like because they have stretch to them, which I believe offer a bitter fit for me.

I didn't see anywhere where these jeans qualify for free returns though... just an FYI. I'm not too worried, they are usually pretty good about returns.

Ooh, thanks! I needed a second pair of Sweet N Lows. I need the 30L so the Daytons are my best option - they say 100% cotton, whereas the ones I wear, Ol Rooftop Wash, bought directly from Lucky, are 98% cotton. So I'm sizing up one at the waist to compensate for the lack of stretch. FYI, the jeans I bought at Lucky itself are MIC as well. Even with the 30% off F&F sale, I paid $55, so under $40 is a deal!

ETA These are the ones I bought: http://www.amazon.com/Lucky-Brand-Womens-Dayton-Redwood/dp/B00851LOAQ/ref=lp_6271841011_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1358189588&sr=1-16

Kind of strange - Macy's lists these as $104 jeans that are 98% cotton, 6pm lists these as 76% cotton jeans and amazon.com lists them as 100% cotton!

This might be a good time to buy since the amazon deal has free returns. I'm about the same size as you (2 in gap) and wear 25 waist in the sweet n lows. My previous pair, bought online at luckybrand.com, is also made in china. Those are 25/0 but I bought the 26 today. both in short length/30 inseam.

My Lucky jeans arrived today from amazon and the mystery of the fabric/manufacture location is solved. How could amazon get both so completely wrong? At least the size was right.

I opened the box and bag the jeans were in. They smelled chemically. The fabric was waaaay off without even looking at the tag - much thinner and more uniform coloring than my other pair bought from the Lucky website. I looked at the tag - the jeans were supposed to be 100% cotton acc. to amazon - they were 76% cotton. GAH. My SnL jeans bought from Lucky's website are 98% cotton.

The tag said Made in USA. The amazon website said Made in China. OK, well, I guess that's one improvement. (The Lucky Brand pricetag also said $109, which is what the Macy's website listed them for.)

I almost didn't try them on bc of the fabric and smell. And I was (and am) super annoyed about amazon's misinformation. But then I tried them on and they fit perfectly - especially my rear end! I'm sure they will stretch out and I'll hate them but I'm finding it hard to return a pair of jeans that makes my butt look good! :rotflmao:

Anyone had a pair of Lucky jeans with 76% cotton content - and how did they hold up? How did everyone else's jeans work out?

That is so weird. But, if the remainder is poly and 1% spandex/ lycra, then that's a good combo IMO. The poly makes them softer/ thinner, which I like. Only the spandex content matters as far as stretch goes.

Yes, I think 76 cotton, the rest mostly poly with 1% spandex.

That's pretty much what my Paige HH jeans are, and I love them. They really keep their shape. In fact, I would love all my jeans to have only 1% spandex

I didn't get mine yet. They are supposed to be 99% cotton, 1% spandex. Guess we will see. I would have thought they would have arrived by now, as I got a shipping notice the same day I ordered, I think.

I would say to keep you jeans if they look good. They were a great deal. You could always wear them around the house for a few hours and see if they stretch out too badly.

I bought my current pair of Sweet n Low's on eBay, and they definitely felt different from the jeans I had tried on in the store. I wondered whether they might have been the cheaper versions that are sold at Costco, etc. But in the end, they looked nice on and I had gotten a great price, so what the heck. They do stretch out a bit by the end of the day, but it doesn't bother me that much.

I got the same jeans as you, I boxed them up for a return. I just didn't like the material (it's not soft), they didn't seem like jeans to me at all. I love my 2% stretch jeans (not Lucky Brand), they fit my waist/butt perfectly.

These jeans remind me of polyester work pants... However, they did look good and fit my body well, I just couldn't get past the feel. Oh yea, and they did smell bad!!!

I really wanted to like them for the price :(

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive but wonder where you all have seen lucky jeans in store? I'd like to try on a variety of sizes and styles without a zillion trips to the post office for returns. Thanks!

Got mine:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005902NYW/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

They seemed as advertised. 99% cotton, 1% Spandex. Wash, pockets, etc., appear just like the picture. Fit is pretty good. The length works but feels somewhat short for a 32" inseam. I think they might be too short with heels, but I don't wear heels often. I hope they don't shrink too much in the wash. The fabric is a little stiff but not a dealbreaker for me. Pretty sure I will keep them. I kind of wish I would have tried another style also (skinny or straight) at these prices.

A huge yeah that. The sizing also seemed to run really big.

What is it with stinky jeans? I just got a pair of jag jeans with the same funky chemical smell.

Today I am wearing my Lucky Brand SNL Super Stretch jeans I got from the Outlet in July. They are 80% cotton, 18% Polyester, and 2% elastyne. They have held up well. I might have to iron them to wear them a second day, but I had to do that with my Citizens 98% cotton jeans as well. Not sure what wash I have (forgot to look).

Ok, I'm coming around to the same position as you. I tried them on again and couldn't do it - they felt stiff and synthetic.

On reading Annie's post I wonder if they get softer when washed? Do they lose their smell? let us know! I might send these back and buy a 99% cotton pair on zappos - they're marked down and zappos is so much more reliable in terms of "what you see is what you get."
