What kind of bedding do you have on your bunk beds? It's for two boys...ages 8 & 3. Duvet vs. quilt?? Flat sheet?

Thanks,
Jennifer

We've got TCS percale fitted sheet and pillowcase, plus a PBK Kingston quilt (red, no plaid on inside) on both bunks - green on DD's top bunk, blue on DS2's bottom bunk. They actually sleep with homemade fleece blankets, so they barely use the quilts. (quilts were purchased for staging, really. I wanted to get TCS down comforters but I'm waiting until we're in our next home.)

My older kids have loft style beds and the less fussy the bedding, the better! They are a major PITA to change. I don't use a top sheet, in the summer, they use a plain cotton blanket or quilt without a top sheet, b/c it always ends up a balled up pile at the bottom. In the winter months, we do down blankets with duvet covers, so it's easy.
