I ended up with a bladder infection because my body is weird and couldn't tell me I had a UTI. Even though my doctor gave me a wonderful medicine that numbs the bladder, I still haven't been able to empty it. I just want to go to the bathroom and empty my bladder without pain (at least I'm not longer screaming). I want a full nights sleep without waking up to go to the bathroom.

Oh I hope it kicks in quickly and you feel better soon. I've read that leaning forward as you finish peeing can help press the pee out of your bladder.

oh man ... uti's and bladder infections are the WORST! Maybe a warm bath would help relax things so you can pee .... I know kinda nasty to pee in your bath but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

They make probiotics that are specific for vaginal/urinary tract health ... you might consider getting some.

Thanks for the ideas. The numbing meds are finally working. I was able to make it through the entire Hobbit movie (3hours) at the theater without having to get up in the middle. I think I'm finally on the mend. I'm picking up cranberry juice to keep at work (otherwise the kids will drink it all). And I will definitely be looking at the probiotics. The nice thing is normally I'll get only get a UTI once every 5 or 6 years, so hopefully this won't happen again and if it does it won't be for a very long time.
