My old favorite lock & lock seems to have gone out of business. :( I am looking for 8-12 cup capacity, glass bottom, ideally silicon lid that is relatively easy to get on and off. Durable. Microwave safe nec and I would really prefer oven safe too.

Any suggestions?

I have some Ziploc Versa Glass that I've been happy with. The largest size is 64 oz. http://www.ziploc.com/whatsnew/Pages/ZiplocVersaGlassContainers.aspx

But I usually freeze individual portions in wide mouth pint mason jars with plastic screw on lids. Cheap and durable. They've recently reintroduced the wide mouth pint and a half, too.

ETA: Looks like Anchor Hocking makes glass storage!

I'm not sure why you don't want pyrex, but this seems like a really good deal, good only for today:

Thanks everyone! My issue with pyrex is that I struggle with the lids. I am going to try anchor hocking and also glasslock (I am going test kitchen over here). I will try to remember to report back!

I have Anchor Hocking and Pyrex. I find my Pyrex much easier to clean, like even burned on things spray right off. The Anchor Hocking is not easy to clean at all.

I got rid of all my plastic and got glass lock at BB&B. I love it.

When I read your OP, I thought that your issue with pyrex might be that it is doesn't have borosilicate in it like L&L does. Does anyone know of other brands that have borosilicate in them?

I have a bunch of Marinex glass containers that I like; they're similar to Pyrex. You can find them on Amazon; my local kitchen store also carries the brand. I'm very happy with them.

I have a couple of sets like this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016PNTR4/ref=wms_ohs_product
