Finally pregnant with our first!!

Well I've been on this board for a couple years now, when my DH and I decided to stop 'preventing'. After about 8 months of that we actively started trying, and had two miscarriages at the 5 and 7 week mark. So we stopped trying again and just let things happen naturally, and lo and behold, a 'minor' 6 months of not preventing, here we are at 11 weeks!! Woot woot! We've had the first ultrasound at 9 weeks and saw a strong heartbeat. Now we need to start thinking about how we're gonna tell everyone in about 3 weeks or so (family and a couple close friends already know).

It feels good getting this down on here in an actual post :). You ladies have been an absolute wealth of information, and I feel 100x more prepared than I would have been 2 years ago :). Of course i know you can never truly be prepared, lol.

So thank you for all your insights! And I look forward to posting many many questions for you as this journey finally begins for us.

Awwwww thanks ladies!!! I really do love this board. Especially since I'm also on a birth board and can't believe the amount of snarkiness on that one. It makes me really grateful to have found such a great group of moms to lean on :).
