Our almost two year olds love fine motor skill toys...anything else we are missing that you recommend? Going a bit stir crazy inside during a month long of freezing cold!

Magformers (http://www.amazon.com/Magformers-Magnetic-Building-Construction-Set/dp/B000VN5ZLA) are our favorite toy here. Duplos are a close second. Magnatiles and twig (http://www.amazon.com/Fat-Brain-FA031-1-Twig-Piece/dp/B001PL7R7M) are a distant third.

What about puzzles? I know it's not the same type of toy, but often times kids who live magnatiles and duplos love puzzles as well.

True. My kids also liked nesting blocks at that age. http://www.amazon.com/Stack-Play-Castle-Building-Blocks/dp/1560214279

how about wooden trains/tracks?

we love duplos and magformers around here! and the trains are a very close 3rd. they can build band be creative, but does take a bit of fine motor skill to put the tracks together and navigate them with the trains.

other then those, the baby dolls et all and art supplies are our big winners.

We have very long winters too!

The marble run is a huge hit here.
Scoops, pitchers, and funnels. I use dry beans or lentils and let them scoop and pour from bowl to cup to narrow neck bottle). Keeps them engaged for a good long time usually.
Cutting up fruit and helping with snack. We have some kid safe slicers (http://www.montessoriservices.com/practical-life/food-preparation/cutting-slicing/wavy-chopper) and I put them to work on very soft things like bananas. Or use a cheese slicer like this one (http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/oxo-cheese-slicer-wire-slicer-with-replacement-wire?ID=559245&cm_mmc=Google_DMA_Home_Cookware-_-PLA+Home+Brands+-+Cookware_PLA+-+Cookware+-+OXO-_-35601107405-_-mkwid_NZGt460a).
Tongs plus small objects (http://www.montessoriservices.com/small-tongs-activities) and a few bowls for moving them around.
Lacing beads (v. large wooden beads) or a lacing block (http://www.montessoriservices.com/practical-life/sewing-weaving/stringing-lacing/stitching-block) or shapes
A window washing set (small spray bottle + wiping cloths)
Play-dough. Make some from scratch?
Flower arranging and trimming (with help with you for scissors)

They might be old enough to play Hi-Ho-Cherry-Oh with help.

For fun in the snow, put colored water into the bottles and let them paint/color the snow!
