S/o can Vitamix replace cuisinart processor?

We use our cuisinart processor for makin soups, sometimes grating a large quantity of veggies (potatoes for latkes, carrots for salad, sweet potatoes for dog treats).

I'd love a Vitamix for green smoothis and soup etc but we have a really small kitchen so I'd like to give something up to get one.

Thoughts?

It makes fantastic soups, often without having to use a stove. Just blend 5 minutes, the motor is so powerful it heats it.

It doesn't grate veggies.

I have a FP but don't keep it on the kitchen counter because I don't use it frequently.
