cute dresses for vacation next week

We are headed to Mexico next week for an adults only vacation :cheerleader1:. I want to pick up a couple of cute dresses to wear for dinner. I haven't seen anything locally so I thought I would come here for online suggestions. I'm short (5'3") with long legs. I'm at my goal weight but I'm still somewhat apple-y shaped.

Any ideas?

I just ordered this dress and necklace from Banana Republic. They also had it in the store (price was cheaper on-line). I am 5'2" with short legs, so I ordered a petite. When I tried it on in-store, it was just above my knee.

Come to think of it, I was just shopping for dresses in the petites section. So I didn't happen to notice if the store I was in had it in regular sizes.

If you just want cute inexpensive dresses, Target has some adorable ones that just came in. I got a cute fit and flare black and white dress for around $25.

definitely Tommy Bahama! Very cute and so flattering! Lots of my friends in all sizes like their dresses. Great fabrics that flatter. Runs a bit big, I am normally a medium but always go with a small in this brand.

I got it in the pomegranet I really wanted black and I just don't love the color on me. It's very cute on, I am very short, 4'11" and I DID NOT get the petite, and the length is above my knee, I'd be worried how short the petite would be. I got a M, wear a 8-10 in tops and pants.

Bummer. I haven't seen the pomegranate color IRL but I bought the black and really like it. I ordered a regular length, but I'm 5'3" and have longer legs for my height, so always kinda in between petite and regular.

I wish I had ordered when you had posted. I can't imagine how short this dress is on regular height people. Even though I'm short, I always get regular dresses, they seem to fit better.

I may check the website again to see if the black comes back in stock, I'm just not in love with the color of mine.

I can see how the drapey neckline would be tough on a more petite height body. I like it on me, but if it draped even a tiny bit lower I couldn't wear it without a cami. The fabric might not drape as low in the petite length, but then you have the length issue at the hem.
