I'm coming to terms with the fact that I need to toss our Sigg bottles. They are so banged up, and it kind of looks like the inside is peeling.

I'd like to get something non-plastic for my 7 yo son, and 4 and 2 yo daughters. I'd like something that won't be too "baby-like" for my oldest, but of course, the girls will want the same thing that he has.

Are there any deals right now on water bottles good for kids?

DD1 has a Nalgene Kids. I don't know if they make a stainless version or not, but she really likes hers.

If Nalgene doesn't have stainless kids bottles and your DS is okay with the non sport Klean Kanteens then I would go that route. I find that the sport top KKs leak like crazy. I hate those lids. For the 2 yr. old I would do the sippy cup spout, which fits on all KK bottles.

We use Kleen Kanteens and Thermos Funtainer.

My kids started using both at age 2, still used now at 6 1/2.

I like ecovessels...they don't leak and the water stays cold.

Kleen Kanteens. We like the ones from LLBean monogrammed because my kids lose EVERYTHING!

We love the Funtainers! I even have the "grown-up" version. It keeps the drinks cold for so long.

Another Thermos family here. The girls (4 and 6.5) use Funtainers, I have the adult version of the Funtainer, and DH has a Thermos SS hydration bottle. Love how cold they keep water even on hot summer days!

We got the stainless steel Contigo thermoses at Costco at the start of the school year and have been really happy with them. With the lid screwed on tight, they never leak.

I want one of these for my travel coffee and tea! But I'm not a Costco member and I can't justify spending $20 on a coffee mug for myself when I already have a bunch of others (that work fine, they just don't keep my drink hot for as long as I'd like).

We like the Thermos Funtainers because they are double walled SS and they keep things nice and cold for up to 12 hours. We also have several of the Camelbak kids SS bottles and they work fine but the aren't insulated at all.

I just started looking at these also. I'll keep my eyes open for funtainers & contigos since I want to keep milk cool. Is there a time of year (back to school, maybe) that they go on sale?

Target had a different color on fall clearance a year or two ago so I got a great deal on mine!

This is the kind DH has and takes to work everyday: http://www.amazon.com/Thermos-Insulated-18-Ounce-Stainless-Steel-Hydration/dp/B000FJ9DOK/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1361490805&sr=1-1&keywords=thermos+18
