What's your favorite mid-range day face cream?

I use retinoids or Cerave PM for night
Want something nice and thick to use under foundation during the day.
Prefer La Mer, but it's not currently in the budget (I alternate).
I'm out of my German-made Nivea.

Suggestions?

I use Clinique's Super Defense moisturizer. It's SPF 20 or 25. I've been very happy with it. I like that they have two options...oily/combo and dry.

I like Clinique's Dramatically Different Mousturizer for dry to combination skin. It is one of the yellow moisturizers. Nice thing is it is usually included in the GWPs so it's always free.
