So we are getting our current honey colored kitchen cabinets painted white as early as next week. I love white kitchen cabinets! Our kitchen walls are currently white as well and we have brown granite counters and a white tile floor. The kitchen is right next to the dining/living room which has greyish-beige walls. I'm trying to figure out what wall color would be good for the kitchen. I probably won't be able to decide till after the cabinets are painted and I can try out some samples next to the cabinets, but I was just wondering what everyone else has. I have a board of "white kitchens" on Pinterest, but I was looking through it today and every single kitchen but one had white cabinets, white walls, and a white subway tile backsplash. Is this the most common or is that just what I like subconsciously since I pinned it all! Anyone care to share pics of their white kitchens?

Here's a few pictures of our current kitchen and adjoining living/dining room.

I don't have white cabinets but they're very light, white-washed look. Our granite looks exactly like yours. My walls are red. The previous owners painted that color but I really like it, it had a texture to it as well that tones down the harshness of it.

I can't post pics from my iPad but I could email them to you if you want to see it.

Sherwin Williams Comfort Gray. Love it. Pale grayish greenish with a hint of blue. The cabinets are white and there's a white subway tile backsplash. I don't have any good pictures uploaded.

I would continue the same color you have in the living room to the kitchen. I have white cabinets, white subway tile backsplash with a velvet finish (matte) black granite counter and walnut pattern laminate flooring and recently changed the wall color from yellow to a "greige" (grey-beige) inspired by the blog Housetweaking.

http://www.housetweaking.com/see-my-house/

The color gives it a calmness and I'm able to use pops of accent color (orange).

I think with your current countertop, your living room color would go very well in the kitchen.

White cabinets
Lighter brown counter-tops than yours
Darker travertine backsplash

Walls are purple; tending with grey. Old kitchen was brighter pinky-purple that didn't look quite right when we redid the countertops. Contrast was great with old dark green countertops.

White on white is very popular right now.

My first kitchen with white cabinets we had blue pearl granite tile counters and white subway tiles and the walls were painted pale yellow. My second white kitchen we had butcher block counter tops, white subway tiles and blue walls--I think Benj. Moore Buxton Blue.

For continuity, I'd use something off the same strip as your living room color. We had our kitchen walls be the darker tan and the dining room was one step lighter. compatible cream was the darker and napery was the lighter. Dover White was the adjacent hallway. They are all on the same strip! http://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW6385-dover-white/

Can't wait to see the "after" shots!

I love green walls with white cabinets!! We had Benjamin Moore fresh grass and it was gorgeous!! But when we updated our countertops and floors I switched to a bluish gray. But I miss the green!!

We have white cabinets with beige-ish laminate counters and tile.

I don't remember the colors actual names, but we have had all of these.

Brown (like the color of chocolate ice cream)
sage green
tuscan yellow
light tan

Of all of them the brown was my favorite.

A neighbor has the same model as us with the same cabinets/counters and slightly different tile. They had sort of a rust-ish maroon. I liked it a lot!

Oh, I can't wait to see how it turns out! We have a fairly new house with nice oak cabinets, but I am dying to make them either darker wood or white.

Light blue. Pops of red decor here and there. It's an old kitchen so I am embracing the retro theme :)

That's kind of what I was thinking and maybe going a tad bit darker vs lighter. Our living/dining room walls are a "greige" color right now and we already have 2 rooms (boys' bathroom and playroom) that are different shades of green and 3 rooms (both boys rooms and master) that are different shades of blue. I do like the grey and greige looks-- I want to paint our master bathroom grey next. I don't know the exact color of the living/dining room walls since they were already painted this color when we moved in. I'm going to look and see if there's any extra paint in the storage room that still has a visible label on it. Maybe then I can find a similar color strip to compare.

SW Anjou Pear. Our cabs are white, counters are soapstone, and the floors are hardwood. It really has a warm, inviting vibe.

We have white cabinets & appliances, charcoal countertops, oak colored Pergo, and green walls. We used Behr Herbal Garden. It's been almost 4 years and I still absolutely love it! Here's a link that shows the color w/a bit of white furniture http://www.flickr.com/photos/behrpaint/5740619518/in/photostream

We just moved from a house with white cabinets and the color mentioned here sounds just like what we had.

The cabinets are antique white and the walls are "connected grey" which is actually a green color. Both from SW.

Here's sliver of it:

Ours are a light green, I do t know the color off hand because we kept the previous owner's color. I really like the color of your counter tops.

I would post a photo but have no idea how to do it. I have cream colored cabinets and my wall color is a deep red. My kitchen is small-ish (not a lot of solid walls) but open to the living room...not closed-in. It is beautiful and blends well with the living room color, which looks like it might be similar to yours. M one word of advice with white cabinets is to see what is the manufacturer's best method for cleaning them bc you will be cleaning them A LOT. We have had 2 homes with white cabinets...the last ones were more composite and easy to clean with anything. Our current ones are Kraftmaid maple and the cabinets in the heavily-used areas are cracking, etc. They were not in the greatest shape when we bought the house. I think the previous owners did not use proper cleaning methods and the finish broke down. They are beautiful, though.

Bumping this because I just got a bunch of BM paint sample cards for our kitchen walls and realized that I'm almost positive that our living/dining room walls and our hallway are all painted in BM Revere Pewter. It's a greyish-beige.

So I'd need a kitchen wall color that compliments this.

I despise our white (laminate) cabinets, but love the robin's egg blue that we painted the kitchen walls. 2nd choice would have been brick red.

I almost put in a big thank you in my post :)

I :heartbeat: this fridge and I was able to get the 5% bonus cashback along with the ShopDiscover cashback. It was a smoking deal for sure. I am so glad you posted it. I didn't have to have a fridge but was able to sell my older one and now can store so much more!

OP - The SW Connected Grey I posted is a grey - green. Something in that family may work.

So jealous of that super nice fridge! We have a french door one and I love it, but we had to get the absolute smallest french door that exists since the space we had for it was so small! We even had to have the counter trimmed in order to squeeze it in! I'd love a giant fridge. We do have another fridge in the garage so that helps.

I too have white cabinets with grey counters. Our walls are a dark sage green and I love it.

Sherwin Williams Comfort Gray.

I think SW Comfort Gray would look great next to the Revere Pewter. Or even the next color darker, which is SW Oyster Bay if you want it a bit more green.

I also think BM Yarmouth Blue (which is the same HC color family) would look really nice if you prefer blue to green.

We had white cabinets, and the walls were a very light gray color. It was quite pretty and soothing.
