We have a small space and I'm really trying to maximize our top shelves in our closets. What type of bins do you use to store extra clothes or unused clothes /shoes?

Looking for something that "transports well" -- w/ moving companies etc. I had a few sterilite bins (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-18-Gallon-Tote-Clear-Base-Set-of-8/20699639)w/just the snap top (kind of like these) and they have not really held up. Maybe I should go for the ones w/ a latch?

Also would like clear so I can semi see what is in the bins when they are up high.

thanks in advance

these http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-16.5-Gallon-66-Quart-Latch-Box-Set-of-6/20699702?findingMethod=rr

We had them in the attic at our old place, but in the closet where we are now.

cardboard boxes might make sense? I use plastic bins but they don't get moved a lot. I'd go with cardboard til you are more settled? On a closet shelf I just fold and stack so I can see it all.
