I am usually clockwork +/- maybe a day. This month I am 4 days FOUR days late. AF is here so I am not pg. But what gives? I am 41 -- does this happen as you age? HELP!

Perimenopause? Stress? I do think a lot of people have wonky cycles as they get to perimeno.

Stress causes wonkiness for me.

Just based on your recent posts, I'd venture to guess stress.

Stress? Also, flying seems to cause my period to be late sometimes.

Stress can do wonders. I would try to let go and not worry, especially if all feels normal now.

Probably a combo of stress and perimenopause. I'll be 40 soon, but last yr AF was over 2.5 wks late and since then, AFs have been all over the place. Sometimes it shows up early, sometimes late. AFs are still 6 long days each time, but it's the other wks that are altered. I used to be like clockwork. I went to a new pcp and told him I suspected perimenopause when AF was MIA during that 2.5 wk and he kept insisting I was too young and it was probably just my thyroid, but my thyroid level was ok. So, he basically told me he didn't know what was wrong with me. I think that I'm perimenopausal and that's why my AFs are now all over the place.

I would think it's stress.

That happens to me during stressful times or travel, except much bigger fluctuations.

It could also be perimenopause.

:yeahthat:
Either one could/would do it. Perimeno could also contribute to mood changes and making stressful situations feel more stressful.
