Any tips for a birthday gift? This boy lives in a small NY apartment, so it should be an indoor toy. His tastes skew young, I think. Our budget is anywhere from $25-40. I'd really appreciate some help!

I'd get a board game. Apples to Apples Jr, Munchkin, Blokus, Trigger, Ticket to Ride. Munchkin would get my top vote- ds1 and his friends love it.

My DS and his friends all love minecraft -- a computer game. What about getting him a minecraft t-shirt? You can order them from Thinkgeek.com, jinx.com, ebay, or amazon. My son LOVES his minecraft t-shirts.

Does he have a Perplexus? It does not take up much space.

I wanted to get him Perplexus, but that family got it for us for Christmas, so I figure they have one.

What about snap circuits? Are they fun?

My 10 year old likes snap circuits and he got the board game Ticket To Ride for Christmas and loves playing it. Both great ideas!

I bought the snap circuits. I think he spends a lot of time playing by himself, so I think he'll get more use out of them than out of a board game. I'm keeping track of the board game recs, though, because our family loves to play, and now I'll have ideas for when DS gets older! Thanks!
