Has anyone used these for a patio or walkway? We're considering it, but our landscapers is advising against it "because the joints are wide and ladies with high heels might trip". Since I wear high heels only when I have a job interview, not really an issue for our backyard. ;) But I'm wondering if there might be other issues as well?

Something like this: http://belgard.biz/environmental-pavers-subterra.htm

The alternative would be a traditional paver like this: http://www.nicolock.com/products/pavers/paver-shield-pavers/colonial-cobble

We sell Belgard pavers at our business. My only thoughts on the permeable ones (or really any paver installed with large joints) are that chair legs, etc. tend to go into the joints as well. For walkways that's obviously not an issue, but for a patio with tables, chairs, etc. it can be annoying.

The same issues arise when using pavers with uneven surfaces (like the cobblestone looking ones). It's hard to level a table...
