I went to the doc this morning because my heart has been randomly fluttering/palpatating over the past couple weeks. The doc suspected a thyroid issue - and I immediately thought of all of you!

I can see the results online but the doc hasn't called yet. My TSH level is flagged. It's in normal range at 1.98 but is much lower than the last time I was tested at 2.51.

Could this indicate a thryoid issue?

Heart palpitations are symptom of over-active thyroid or Grave's Disease. I have Grave's Disease. TSH is not enough to diagnose that. That's not even a bad number, my TSH was bottomed out when I was diagnosed. Drs. shouldn't treat in TSH alone. You need your free T3 and T4 tested. If they're suspecting Grave's you need TSII and TRab (TBII) antibodies checked. If they diagnose Grave's and try to do that radioactive iodine scan of your thyroid, don't do it. It will make your symptoms worse. If you get diagnosed, post or PM me and I will give you the name of a thyroid list that you should join before you do anything.
