What is the best Investment now?

I don't know much about this, but what do you think is the best form of investment in today's economy? Do you and spouse contribute to one that you are happy with?

Ones that come to mind:

1) Rental properties
2) Stocks and bonds
3) 401 K
4) Other I'm unaware of...

My friend the financial advisor said the markets are rallying right now because there is no place else to put money. He said they're saying it will be like this until June and then it's done. Idk why, didn't get a chance to get into it.
