These are odd but kind of cool. This is sort of a spin-off of the ear piercing thread because I am still kind of on the lookout for a solution so that I can wear earrings again. Would you think I was totally weird if I tried these?

You have to try these (cheaper at other sites). I think you were in on the thread when i announced i could wear earrings again after many years because of these earrings!

Those are neat! I would totally try them especially the dangly earrings. I don't have allergies to metals but heaving dangling earrings hurt my ears and stretch out my pierced ear hole, which has already ripped further on one ear.

I love the ones in the first link and I'd totally wear them! I have a stretched hole on one ear and I can't wear heavy earrings. Thanks for the link!

Wow! How cool! I have pretty bad allergies, I cannot even wear platinum, I had a reaction to the beautiful diamond stud earrings dh got me yrs ago. He thought that if it was platinum, I would be ok, but nope. I had to wear 24K gold as a kid, but they were ugly earrings my parents picked out and it's no fun getting stuck with only one pr. Anyway, I am going to check these out, I had basically given up and assumed that I'd never be able to wear earrings again. I'm just wondering though if these will end up hurting if they rub the wrong way. That would be my biggest concern.

TMI alert:

I know, I have been meaning to try them. I kind of dread the thought of putting anything in my piercings though because they are so irritated even when left alone. They get puffy and red regularly and sometimes even have to be "popped" and yucky stuff oozes out. I'm not convinced that what I have is truly an allergy or if it is just a contact irritation.

Oh my gosh...that sounds awful.
