There is a job that I am interested in that I found on flexjobs.com. I went to LinkedIn and found a connection. I then emailed my connection to send my resume and cover letter to his connection who is also a Director at the company. My connection emailed the Director that same day and cc'd me and we got a reply from the Director 10 minutes later. I was pretty impressed! He wanted to schedule a phone interview.
So two Fridays ago, I had a phone interview with the Director. It was more an informational interview for me. After the phone conversation, the said that he will forward it to the hiring manager. It's been almost 10 days and I have not heard from the company. question is - can I follow up with the Director or is this just a wait and see? Or can I have my resume forwarded again through another contact? Would love to hear from HR folks as well.
