I want to make homemade pizza (with the whole wheat crust recipe from the previous thread), but I don't have a pizza pan (just large cookie sheets).

Do you recommend getting a pizza pan or pizza stone?

Thanks!

We make pizza about once a week and we have 3 pizza stones. You can get them at Target or nicer ones at places like Sur la Table.

We use a stone & peel.

It takes some getting used to, but it works pretty nicely.

stone. and read this. I found it extremely helpful when starting our make-at-home nights.

If you have a big cast iron skillet or griddle, those are great for pizzas too.

We love cast iron for pizza, too! We use this:

(normally $34.97 direct from amazon, but temporarily OOS)

If you want to try making pizza using what you have, you can flip over the large, rimmed cookie sheets and use the bottom. And as others have suggested, cast iron is great! I do like my pizza stone; I just wouldn't buy something until you know you'll want to keep using it. :)

We use a stone and a peel as well. Cast iron sounds intriguing! I never heard of that. We used flipped over cookie sheets before we bought our stones (we have two, one from Williams Sonoma, and one from Pampered Chef, they're both nice).
