just need some reassurance

I have my 20th college reunion coming up in June, my parents want to go see my sister that weekend. I have a babysitter from the boys' school (she is a regular babysitter and was DS1's teacher for 3 years) staying with them for the weekend. That's ok right? I've NEVER left the kids with anyone other than my parents before. We will be in Pennsylvania so several hours/a flight away.

We left DD with a sitter for a couple days because we both had to travel for work. She was fine. She was happy with the sitter. Enjoy your reunion.

My best friend does this all. The. Time. Her DC actually love the sitter and have a ball! Enjoy!

i think it sounds like it's a great set up - she clearly knows your kids and they are already very familiar, and comfortable, with her.

I used to babysit full weekends for my regular families. I was a good, fun babysitter. :). With that as my frame of reference, I'd be ok with it.
