Underbed storage for kids' room

DH built this bed for DD and we painted it white. We want to store some of her books, possibly a few bins of toys/stuffed animals and pajamas underneath. I want to get some baskets or containers for organizing stuff under there but they need to be semi-attractive since they will be visible and also kid-friendly. Any ideas?

I have some from Ikea that have worked well. We have this one but the have many, many under the bed storage options.

The Container Store has clear underbed boxes if you want to be able to see what is in the box.
