I saved over $100 going through Costco.

I have also scored great deals when calling individual branches vs the airport or website. Sometimes we've had to cab it or take public transportation to an off site pick up but worth it for the cost savings.

Wow, I had no idea I could get a discount through Costco. It saved me quite a bit! Makes me feel better about having my membership, because I typically don't buy so much from Costco.

Another perk that comes from reserving through costco is that if you chose Alamo, you get a free second driver (that doesn't have to be your spouse!)--that's a pretty big perk, considering the per day cost of an additional driver.

We did Budget through Costco and the 2nd driver was free.

Autoslash.com is also kinda neat. It will cancel and rebook for you if the price drops. We did it for Hawaii last year and were pretty happy with the final price.
