Has anyone read Peaceful Parent, Happy Kids? DH is looking to read something to help him with his parenting for DD1. She really knows how to push his buttons and he struggles with her a lot when it comes to managing her. Any other recommendations?

I haven't read that one, but here are my very favorite parenting books:

_How to Talk so Kids Will Listen...And Listen So Kids Will Talk_ by Adele Faber, Elaine Mazlish (This is the book I would urge your DH to read first and foremost. It's an easy read, and it made a HUGE difference in my relationship with DS!)

_Playful Parenting_ by Lawrence J. Cohen

_Positive Discipline_ by Jane Nelson (This is written sort of like a textbook that you would use in a parenting class. The parenting advice is excellent, but the book is a little didactic and less fun to read than the first book above.)

_Love and Logic Magic for Early Childhood: Practical Parenting from Birth to Six Years_ by Jim Fay, Charles Fay (I might suggest your DH read this one along with How to Talk... It speaks very directly to why keeping your temper is hugely important.)
