DS is doing his biography on Beethoven. He recently decided to take up the piano again and was excited to do his biography on him.
I just did a search of a costume for B for DS to wear, and can only find one. It is $99 (no way!), but looks real nice.
Can anyone help me with this? If I can't buy one, how can I find the pieces to put one together?
thanks for any help, thoughts or idea.

Susan

I have no idea about the costume, but your son may enjoy this: http://www.amazon.com/Beethoven-Lives-Upstairs-Barbara-Nichol/dp/B00000212L

It's a recent big hit in our house - with all of the kids (4, 6, and 14).

Should be pretty easy to find in the library or streaming online.

I would do a grey wig in an old fashioned hairstyle, seems like Beethoven was known for kind of wild hair, right? Plus a black cape of some sort - do you have a Halloween costume for a vampire or undertaker or something? Or an old graduation gown? Then a little ruffled collar or silk handkerchief at his neck.

Hmmmm....

Does your DS have long black or gray shorts? (Or old pants that you could cut to knickers length?)

Tall white socks (DH's tube socks?)

White, long-sleeved collared shirt with the collar turned up. (White blouse?)

Solid colored scarf tied like a cravat.

Jacket/blazer over it (could be one of yours with the sleeves rolled up)

And hair like this kid:
