With sushi we usually toss any raw pieces we don't finish, and only save the cooked ones. Last night we over-ordered and weren't really hungry--we had a lot left so I put it in the fridge.

Do you save/eat (raw) leftover sushi?

I never save it, because once it's been refrigerated it just never tastes good to me. My DH will eat anything, though, so I would save it for him. It won't go bad overnight, but I wouldn't keep it beyond the next day.

Toss. I once refrigerated left over sushi and ate it the next day. I regretted it. (And this was in Japan!)

I've had raw (tuna) rolls the next morning from a sushi place I trust. Never regretted it. :love-retry:

I keep it a maximum of about 12 hours. Basically, I'll eat it as a snack later if it was ordered that day for lunch or dinner.

It does taste a bit gross to me once it's been refrigerated, but hey, if I'm hungry... No more than 12 hours tho. By the next day, it's not worth it. I can never eat from the Costco sushi platters because they've been refrigerated.

I eat it up to 24 hrs later!

We always cook it and eat it the next day. I guess we are weird? :)

Toss. But not because I'm afraid I'd get sick. Sushi that has been refrigerated is just gross to me.

Thanks all! I do agree about the rice being weird. When we have saved the cooked type rolls, we let it sit out a bit so the rice isn't so cold & hard.

In this case, DH came home from work and ate a bunch for a snack. We'll see how that goes :p

MamaMolly--I never would have thought about cooking it!! Smart!
