I have this dress from Ann Taylor. I absolutely love the colors! (Planning on wearing it for my brother's rehearsal dinner.)

I am wondering if I can get away with these dress sandals what I already own. I have such a hard time finding shoes that fit me. I don't know what's up with my princess-and-the-pea feet!

Shoes are more green than the dress. Close enough, or should I look for something? And if so, any ideas? I just hate to buy a shoe that will just sit in my closet.

I'd go w a nude shoe but I'm not usually into matching colors for clothes and shoes. Very cute dress!

I agree. I don't go for matching, either. Is the piping on the dress navy or black? I can't tell.

A black peep toe would look nice.
Or go with nude.

Both your dresses for the wedding are gorgeous - you're going to look so great.

Black strappy. You'll wear them again.

Piping on dress is navy. I have never done the nude shoe thing. It feels strange to me. DK why. I could try for navy, maybe.

I don't think it looks bad but its hard to tell through the picture. Maybe take one of the dress and the shoes next to each other. If not a nude how about a metallic that matches your jewelry. I like the dress its cute and good with your coloring.

I will post a close up pic when I get a chance. They definitely skew more green.

So upon closer look, I think the piping on this dress is actually black. It was reading very dark navy in the store.

Here are some shoe options: navy peep toe which is new and can be returned (matches tone of jewelry, which I guess now is in question too--sigh), turqouise/white slingbacks (they don't match but somehow when they are on, it's not too bad), black dress sandals with little bow and ankle strap, or I could get the identical peep toe patent shoes in black from DSW (even exchange). Also, yay or nay on the jewerly. Thanks!

Thoughts? Or do I need something entirely different? I could NOT find a nude shoe that wasn't 4" high or completely flat--in the entire DSW store.

The navy shoe is slightly brighter than it appears in the picture. (ETA a second photo that's more accurate color-wise.)

I vote black. Peeptoe seems little dressier. Which pair would you get more use from?

I like the last shoes too -- they are strappy and 'lighter' looking :)

Thanks. Link is:

(They have it in petites and regular sizes).

If I go with the strappy shoes, maybe a lighter necklace? I was trying (originally) to go for a "fun" look. But maybe I need to go more classic? I could still do the chunky bracelet or skip it, I guess, also. If I do this, I might still keep the "fun" jewerly for a different look.

This sapphire necklace was a 40th b-day gift from my mom this year. : ) I wouldn't want to pack it! I guess maybe I would wear it on the plane? The chain is a little too long--maybe I could do something with a safety pin or tiny hair tie in the back under my hair?

Your original jewelry was fine. No need to second guess. We just weren't digging the original shoes w the dress. :). Especially w plain shoes, you can have fun w accessories. Eta- the length of the sapphire one is fine. If traveling with it makes you nervous, don't do it.

Thanks, ladies, for your help. I am going to go with the black, strappy shoes. So nice to be able to wear something I already own, too. Jewelry-wise, maybe I will bring both and decide then. I know if would make my mom really happy to see me wearing her gift. I don't get a lot of opportunity to wear it these days
