What is better for the $: lego friends or mega bloks Barbie

Both DD's (4 and 8) are wanting Lego friends or mega bloks Barbie. I bought the barbie ones at Walmart but noticed they are on sale at TRU. i am wondering which ones are better. Just looking quickly I think you get more pieces with the Lego Friends as compared to the Barbie ones but Barbie had the cheaper prices.

If you think they might get into it and want to expand I'd go with the Lego Friends as it's a bigger line with seasonally new stuff (and expandable with all the other Lego lines).

Thanks! I guess I was lucky that it took this long to get into them but I'm sure their interest in them will continue to grow...that means more cha-ching cha-Ching for me.

We have some superhero mega bloks sets and they stink. The directions are harder to follow and the pieces are harder to snap together. I'm actually thinking about throwing them away/donating them. As a matter of fact I purchased a bunch of the mega bloks sets when they were on sale at Kmart for our present closet but seeing how they stink compared yo Legos, they are now in our donate box.
