Anybody knowledgeable about pavlovas, please weigh in!

I wanted to bring a dairy-free dessert for Easter dinner, so my daughter can partake. At first I was thinking angel food cake, but those can be a pain in the butt to make. I thought a pavlova with berries might be different and fun. However, it would need to be made it a day or two in advance and then survive a few hours in the car on Easter. Can a pavlova stand up to that kind of abuse?

I haven't made a pavlova in years, but I think it would survive. I remember the outside being crisp/fragile like a meringue, and the inside being softer. I think the worst that would happen is that the outside might get banged up a bit. I wonder if it would work to put a square of non-stick material at the bottom of the storage container so the pavlova won't slide around.

how about meringuue cookies in an air ight box, and then carry some macerated fruit separately.
