My kids are 2.5 and 4.5. We have always had a regular monitor (Sony baby call), but would now like to get a video monitor. We want it to keep an eye on our 2.5 year old DS as he transitions to a big kid bed as well as possibly use it in our basement playroom (like a PP's thread, we have a basement that is relatively sound proof, especially with our dehumidifiers going).
We don't need anything of the infant features (movement detection, nightlight for feedings, etc.), but something that could have more than one camera would nice. 2 way communication and compability with iPad/iPhone would be nice bonuses too.
Any recommendations? Would you still look at baby monitors for these purposes or other webcams/ security cams?
