what to write on a coffee mug?

I made a photo mug for my dad's birthday. It has a few pics of DD and one of DH, DD and myself.

But what to write on it? Happy Birthday Grandpa seems like it would be odd 6 months from now, right?

Peace Love Joy seems overdone.

Any thoughts?

I don't think it would be odd since it was a birthday gift. Peace love joy reminds me of Christmas. Lol. Maybe write love or family or both.

Eta: What about the year? Do you have to write something? I've done them for my mom and never put any writing.

I was also thinking whatever the kids call him - Grandpa, Papa or whatever. My aunt made mugs for my mom and dad with pictures of DS and they say Oma! and Opa! which is what DS calls them.
