UPDATE:

All is going very well! The baby is big and getting healthier by the minute, nursing and snuggling and off oxygen. She should be going home Thursday :D

My new Goddaughter was born this morning. Everything was fine but she started getting too blue and has been sent to the NICU. Her blood oxygen is too low. They are doing all sorts of tests and she may not be back in the room with her mom until they leave Sunday. All P & PT would be greatly appreciated.

Mopey,
Sending prayers and thoughts and I am so happy that she is doing well. The same thing happened to my daughter - she was bluish and they took her from my arms after about 4 hours of being with her and rushed her to the NICU. It turned out that she had something (a one off) called pneumothorax. She was in the NICU for 5 days (in one of those isolation things so I couldn't hold her until the second to last day, which was hard). She is one and a half now and a normal child and all is great. Hoping that your goddaughter gets to come home very soon. Thinking of you and the baby and your and her loved ones.
