Brand name makeup vs drug store brand makeup

I'm a product whore and everything I use from makeup to hair is brand name. Lately I've been getting buyers remorse and feeling guilty for spending so much on daily product on myself. I just purchased a laura mercier blush/hilighter compact for $40....really!?!? I know there are a few things I can't live without such as Josie maran argon oil ( thanks to the bbb members) but I have got to cut back! So please list any and all brand name products you have use but found a comparable drug store brand.

Esthederm photo reverse...have found no substitute and no place to buy in US, unfortunately :( Let me know if you know of a place to buy this :) Usually I just get it as a gift from friends since they know the addiction :)

I bought the organic Argan oil from mountain rose herbal (rec here) and even going back and forth with the Josie maran couldn't tell the difference.
