I don't understand that logic at all. It just doesn't make any sense.

I would support a complete reversal and the Boy Scouts admitting participants without regard to sexual orientation.

Not the best outcome, but baby steps. It will be interesting, though, how it would trickle up as gay teen scouts move into adulthood and what happens to them at that point. It was heartening to see that the majority of parent under age 50 oppose the ban, which to me says that in 10 years it will be even more.

It's still frustrating that they are not doing more (assuming this even passes).

So being gay is fine, until you turn 18? That doesn't make any sense to me at all.

I see it as baby steps. I wish they had just taken the whole step but it is a start.

Well, this is not enough for me. We'll still be forced to boycott, which is a shame. Someone needs to form an open and affirming scouting organization! I wish our local leaders would just leave the official scouts and start their own, rogue troop!
