We are trying to do the communion photos for DS this weekend. I saw something on Pinterest that I wanted to duplicate A boy with his hands in prayer , smiling, looking off to the left. Can't find it now. Has anyone seen it?

Pretty common style of picture. They usually do a backlighting for it, so that it looks like he's "glowing".

Thanks. I wanted to reference that photo to get the right angle to shoot at. We tried to shoot from below and that didn't work out. DS was not cooperating, so we will try tomorrow again.

I've been looking for it for you. So far, I've found this: http://pinterest.com/pin/194710383861965075/

How far off the mark is it?

It is a girl, and sideways and of her right side, but JC Penney Photo Studio may give you some ideas.

Late to the post but wanted to share how ours turned out in case your still working on it!

Pics were actually done in our front walkway behind a hedge.... with my IPHONE! My advice is to snap as many photos as you can - - and have him move quite a few times... you'll come up with something good!

My son was hiding from kids in the street - since he had the top of his suit and sweatpants on the bottom.

I love the way our invites turned out - actually used a company called CATPRINT to print them and it was cheaper than buying photo paper and ink. They used a thick paper which had a linen look to it and rounded edges on a 5x7 card. Came out INCREDIBLE and only around $30 for 45 of them with envelopes!

The 2nd pic I'm using for our favors - which are prayer cards. They are printing his pic and "in rememberence of my First Holy Communion and date on the back. Just ordered last week so i don't have them yet. Used a difference company i found online. My "OLD FASHIONED" family will love them! I think the prayer cards were $39.99 for 50 of them.

WOuld love to hear any First Communion ideas anyone else has!

We did another photo session, but I messed up the camera settings so they did not come out well. He had shorts on the bottom, but in his case, I think it gives him license to not fully participate. He has baseball for the next four nights in a row. Ugh. Maybe he can rub the sleep out of his eyes and get into it on Saturday morning. The lighting now at 6:15 am looks perfect. Just kidding. I have been half considering booking the Picture People after the Communion. My semi-professional photographer brother would laugh at me. Anyway, we have no pictures of us all together from the Baptism. I just have to stand my ground firth is time.

Thanks fir all your help.
