I am hosting a Bunco party and need to provide food and beverages. I also have to get small gifts so I need some ideas on how to get the best bang for my buck. What appetizers/food would you make? Any tips for alcohol on the cheap. TIA!

I'd do something like sangria. Wine can just be average and you can stretch it. Gifts? Buy a big bag or box of chocolates and personally divide them up into individual packages. Food- can you do a taco bar or something? Pulled pork works well too as does chili. Get a veggie tray.

When I hosted Bunco, I would make a crock pot of chili as well as baked potatoes. Topping bar was sour cream, cheese, green onions, bacon, tortilla chips. I would make a green salad and Bobby Flay's sangria - http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/bobby-flay/red-wine-sangria-recipe/index.html
