ISO deal on boys sneakers size 12 toddler to 3 youth

We are moving to Australia in 5 weeks and I need to stock up on sneakers since they are so much more expensive there. Have you seen any good deals on boys sneakers? DS is age 6 and size 12. Also any advice about when to switch to laces instead of hook and loop would be great.

Not sure about current deals but we have been happiest with shoes from Kohls & Sears, considering bang for buck. We tried & didn't like Gap, Carters, & Payless shoes.

6pm is zappos clearance site, so totally legit. You do need to pay return shipping yourself.

Op do you have a stride rite outlet near you? I've gotten good deals there esp when they have BOGO.

I usually buy saucony or geox. Sometimes at the local store or amazon/my habit. I usually buy tie shoes for my kids. Velcro is a rare occurrence. DD could tie her shoes before she was 5. DS is 5 and is learning to tie. DS2 is 2 and as long as I double knot they stay tied.

My older two just got new sneakers. They were right around $30 or a tiny bit over that. I ended up getting the same for DD (different color scheme) from Nordstrom for $33 (free ship/free returns there). Reviews suggested sizing up.

I was on the phone with my parents tonight while they were in Sears and my dad said he found a pair of NB sneakers marked down from 60ish to 15.xx. He wears a really small size for a man, so I'm not sure how widespread the markdowns were.
