My all time favorite study music was some of the old Michele Shocked albums. She's gone so far off the deep end lately that I can't even bear to listen to her without feeling angry and bummed.

Ugh.

I heard about her anti gay rant. Very disappointing.

But, hey. I don't pick music based on morals, later in life changes or even likability. If I did, I'd have to weed out some of the best stuff.

I certainly won't be buying any of her newer albums!

Good point. Maybe it's the recentness of it all that threw me. She played a venue down the road about once a year, DH and I have seen her a fair bet lately since it was an easy show to catch. Totally caught me off guard.

And yeah - no new albums for sure. Yikes!
