Via Spiga (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/via-spiga-bethany-boot/3343500?origin=shoppingbag)
Do you think they're classic? TIA

I think the Via Spiga is more classic, but I think it is hard to classify a shoe as classic. Shoes/boots can be dated quickly (I think) because of the changes in heels (size, width, height) and the shape of the toe.
ETA: The Cole Haan boot is trendy.

I tend to think of flat or low-heeled riding boots as classic. Between those 2, the cole haan definitely looks more trendy to me.

:yeahthat: I don't care for the Cole Haans.
For what it's worth, I bought those Cole Haan boots (from Nordstrom) and returned them. They just didn't feel good on my feet and they definitely didn't look like 500 bucks (or anywhere near that)! My SIL also returned them, for similar reasons. We were both bummed because the reviews were mostly positive.
