Michigan Resorts or Hotels

Hi,
Does anyone have any suggestions for a family-friendly resort in Michigan? We're thinking Northwest or UP. Beach access and a pool is important. DS will be 4 and we'll have a newborn. We'll be driving from the Chicago area, so we're flexible.

Look at renting somewhere in Sutton's Bay or staying in Traverse City. Also check near Sleeping Bear.

Don't know where in Michigan it is but my sis and her family, as well as friends, goes to Kalahari and Mackinaw.

I don't know exactly where they stay but my sister and her ILs go to Traverse City every summer.
